The Karnataka Government has started transferring money to the bank account of all BPL families covered under the Anna Bhagya Scheme. This scheme has already started in some districts. Under the Anna Bhagya DBT Scheme, the transfer of money to the BPL families’ bank account has been started from 10th July 2023. In this scheme, the BPL families of Karnataka will be transferred money from the government to direct their bank account through DBT mode. RS 170 will be given per family member instead of 5kg rice so that they can meet their daily basic needs. During a survey, 1.28 crore ration cards were pretended under Antodaya Scheme. Transfer of money to the BPL families’ bank accounts has been started by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shiv Kumar.
