The camps will be launched by the GCC in July 2023. Considering the large number of ration card holders in Tamil Nadu, the Commissioner of GCC has said that these camps will be organized in 2 phases. RS 1000 per month financial assistance is being provided to women in the scheme started by the Tamil Nadu Government for women. Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Scheme 2023 was launched by the government of Tamil Nadu to provide financial assistance to women. For this, Tamil Nadu Government has issued guidelines for setting up camps for the GCC. The GCC Commissioner said that Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Scheme, the camps for this scheme will be organized in which at least 17 lakh forms will be accepted but now to date, only 10 lakh forms have been prepared.
According to the Chennai Corporation Limit, there are about 17.18 lakh card holders in Chennai. The registration of so many people is not possible easily in one-phase camps, for this the camps will be organized in 2 phases. Biometric machines will be used in all the camps that will be arranged by the GCC. The camps for this scheme will be organized from 25th July 2023 to 16th August 2023.
