The Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has launched Maharashtra Vitthal Rukmini Varkari Bima Yojana 2023 on 21st June 2023 keeping in mind the facilities of Varkari. Under this scheme, financial help will be provided by the government to Varkari whenever they are victims of any disaster.
Under this scheme, financial assistance will be provided by the government to the followers of Lord Vitthal if they fall ill or victims of any natural calamity, so that their lives can be made safer and better. All the Varkari participating in Vari can apply for this scheme. If any Varkari is a victim of any natural calamity or falls ill, then financial help up to RS 5 lakh will be provided to vari. Through this scheme, efforts will be made to provide security of life to the Varkaris participating in Aashad Vari.

| If Varkari is ill | Rs 35,000 will be provided by the government |
| Varkari’s partial disability | Rs 50,000 will be provided |
| If Varkari permanently disable | Rs 1 lakh will be provided |
| If Varkari is dead | RS 5 lakh will be provided |
